Owner and operator Saskia Sevink, a sales representative and broker for more than 13 years, is pleased to announce she has been joined by Brad Nelson and Ted Johnston, formerly of Nelson Long Real Estate. Along with staff supporters Jacqueline and Brittany, Saskia, Brad and Ted now make up this specialty shop. Well known for her no-nonsense and professional approach to real estate, Saskia operates the last small customized service agency in Bobcaygeon and is very happy to grow the business with these two superb realtors.
Brad was born and bred in Victoria County, grew up immersed in a family marina business and is very well-versed in the Kawartha Lakes. After university and a stint in retail management, Brad returned home and joined his father David at Nelson Long Real Estate. Brad soon became a fixture on Bolton Street and put many happy customers into their dream lakefront cottage or home. He is an avid researcher and knows the ins and outs of the real estate industry, lakes, properties and how to close a deal. Brad is married and lives in Alpine Village with his wife, two daughters and his dogs.
Ted is in his third year as a sales rep. Born and raised in Toronto, he has a degree in Urban Planning. No stranger to Bobcaygeon, he bought is his first cottage on Sturgeon Lake in 1987 and has bought, renovated and sold numerous properties in the Village. In 2003 Ted left his job as Executive Director of Canada Blooms to restore his 1905 Arts and Crafts cottage on Pigeon Lake. His Bobcaygeon-area cottages have been featured in Canadian House and Home, The Toronto Star, Gardening Life Magazine, Canadian Gardening Magazine and Canadian Home and Country. Ted maintains strong roots with the city and persuades many of friends to buy here. He also is a leadership strategist, consultant and coach with lifelong interests in home renovation, décor and landscaping. He is married and his home is ruled by two miniature poodles. Ted enjoys assisting buyers and sellers to create their goals and realize their dreams.
Saskia really knows real estate whether as past-president of the local real estate board, successful broker and sales rep, excellent photographer, or business owner since buying out her Uncle Bert some six years ago. Saskia values family, community and wanting the best for her clients. She is a sophisticated first wave baby boomer, born in England just after the war. It is no wonder she spends most of her time meeting the needs of other baby boomers whether retiring, anticipating retirement or simply wanting a lifestyle change. She is concerned with the ever-aging population who, like her 85-year-old mother, need assistance with the lifestyle change that comes with age. Saskia is prepared to help with whatever is required to make that transition easier…whether it is preparing a house for sale with painting, decorating up to home repair, packing, moving and then finding the right place to live. Saskia is within walking distance of her office as is her family, who often enjoy her home-cooked meals and ongoing hospitality. Saskia is passionate about doing the best for her clients and working as hard as necessary to meet their needs.
